This weekend a storm system brushes the northern and central plains but a mid-level riding developing out of Texas should keep these precip chances also out of our forecast for the immediate area.Įnjoy this great taste of fall weather on Monday We’re not finished with summer yet. Significant precipitation chances will remain out of the forecast but a few stray to isolated showers and storms will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday to our west. The fire spread rates will be increasing this weekend. Morning lows will eventually return into the upper 60s and lower 70s by late this weekend and the weekend. Afternoon highs will max-out in the lower 90s Tuesday through Thursday and reach the mid-90s this weekend with slightly breezy southwest winds from 12 to 22 mph. Despite the cool weather on Monday morning, a warming trend will commence soon and continue through the foreseeable future. Clear sky and light winds will return for most of the day with afternoon highs reaching the mid-80s. Temperatures have dropped into the lower 50s in the metro with upper 40s across many of the valley regions. The front that moved across the area this weekend has brought dry air into northern Oklahoma on Monday morning. Another warming trend is likely for the rest of the week, continuing through the weekend.
